We went to MHRHS on several occasions looking for a young dog to fit in with our family. We thought we had one, but when I returned with my two daughters to see if they liked the dog, another family was already putting her in their car. We were quite saddened but didn't give up. On a Wednesday evening, I stopped to see another dog that was posted on the website. While I was there, a cute little black lab mix caught my eye. There was no sign on the cage, and when I inquired about her, I was told that she had been brought in only an hour earlier. I asked if I could take her outside and it was immediately obvious that she was just a bundle of joy. I called my wife and told her to come over. We offered to adopt Bella (formerly Baby Girl) that night and brought her home soon after.
She is a wonderful dog, just perfect for us. She is everything we wanted and more. We are so happy to have found her at just the right time.
