On August 19, 2006, my boyfriend Dan came into the shelter to adopt a puppy. When we saw Buddy, formerly known as Buster, we fell in love with him! He is either 2 or 3 years old, but no one knew because he was a stray. When he came home with us he was only 35 pounds, and he is now up to a healthy 48 pounds. He is a Boxer/Pit mix and is the most loving and affectionate dog we have ever had. He loves to run and play outside in the field. His favorite toy is still a soccer ball, which he carries around everywhere with him. He is like our child who we love dearly, and we know he loves us back.
