Canine Good Citizenship
This five-week session will help prepare you and your dog to take the Canine Good Citizenship test. The AKC's CGC Program is a certification program that rewards dogs for good manners at home and in the community. Any dog, mixed breed or purebred, is eligible for this certification. Dogs signing up for this class must get along well with people and other dogs, and must know the basic cues taught in Level 1 of the Family Manners class. Handlers interested in certifying their dogs for pet therapy would benefit from this class, as the criteria for the CGC test is used, in part, for Therapy Dog International certification.
